Moderated Panel with Participant Q&A

Register today for an interactive, moderated panel facilitated by Paul Butler of Newleaf Training and Development. During the 45-50mins session Paul will ask three human resource professionals, (all based within the Antelope Valley) how they have adapted to the ever-changing situation we’ve all faced with C-19. What lessons can we each learn from how these three leaders have proactively and professionally got done all that needs to be done during these very challenging months? As your moderator, Paul Butler will ensure the session is fast-paced, practical and conversational — he’ll manage the time accordingly to ensure as many of your questions as possible can be answered so you can maximize your benefit from attending.

 

Meet the Facilitator

 

Paul Butler, Client Partner, Newleaf Training and Development

Paul Butler is a Client Partner with Newleaf Training and Development — a staff training and leadership development company based in Valencia with a second office in Orlando, FL. Newleaf have served about 250 clients in 28 states, China, India and Western Europe. Local clients include: Princess Cruises, Antelope Valley College, Lockheed Martin and the City of Lancaster. Prior to starting Newleaf in 2006, Paul served in senior leadership positions with Hilton and Marriott hotels — in Europe as well as North America. Paul is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the Chartered Global Management Accountants (CGMA). Paul is a member of PIHRA and serves on the board for the Santa Clarita chapter over hospitality and sponsorship. Paul’s role is to keep the meeting on-point and on-time.

 

 


Meet the Panelists

Jennifer Emery is the Human Resources Director of Palmdale Water District beginning her employment with the District in November, 2013 as the Human Resources Manager. She oversees all HR functions. Previously, she serviced as Director of Human Resources for both non-profits and banking organizations. Jennifer is a member of SHRM with a Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification from HRCI. In addition to working in the HR field, she has served as the Advocacy Captain for SHRM San Diego. Jennifer has taught as a guest lecturer around the country in the areas of recruitment, morale maintenance, change management, and volunteer management. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management from Bellevue University. 
  Donna Kumar is Human Resources & Home Office Support Specialist for Ingenium Schools — a charter school organization.. Donna has nearly a decade of experience working at a charter school as an Administrative Manager, Parent Student Led Coordinator, and now currently working in the HR department, and operations. She has also helped to develop and implement organization-wide systems that will and have improved the form and their functions. Donna holds an MPA in Public Sector Management and Leadership from Northridge University, and is committed to education. Donna also serves as part of the Antelope Valley PIHRA Chamber as the Programs Chair and Secretary.
  Jennifer Burchett is the Assistant Superintendent/ Vice President, Human Resources of Antelope Valley College. Jennifer holds a MBA, New Charter University and BBA, California State University Dominguez Hills. She has 25 years of experience in public sector education. Jennifer's vision for the college is to ensure an increased emphasis on facilitating robust, automated Human Resources functionality through technology infrastructure as well as continuing to build equitable and inclusive hiring practices. She has a passion for providing service, support and has an innate inclusive mindset. These tools help her stay focused on what matters most, serving the students, staff and giving back to her native community in the Antelope Valley.
