PHR – An HR certification is a great way to establish yourself in the HR field. Eligibility requirements are a minimum of 1 year of experience in a professional-level HR position with a Master's degree or higher, or a minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional-level HR position with a Bachelor's degree, or a minimum of 4 years of experience in a professional-level HR position with less than a Bachelor's degree.
SPHR - An HR certification that solidifies your credibility as leader in HR and have experience in more senior level work such as development of strategy, negotiation and influence. Eligibility Requirements are a minimum of 4 years of experience in a professional-level HR position with a Master’s degree or higher, or a minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional-level HR position with a Bachelor’s degree, or a minimum of 7 years of experience in a professional-level HR position with less than a Bachelor's degree.

This class will be delivered virtually just as if we were in a classroom. There will be face-to-face interaction using Zoom as our technology platform.
Technical requirements for the class include:

Jon R. Orozco, SHRM-SCP - Senior Executive Trainer & Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Orozco is an experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME), Trainer, and Human Resources Business Partner. Adept at providing leadership & development training, Mr. Orozco brings a fresh approach to conflict resolution, professional boundaries, diversity, inclusion, and sexual harassment training that minimizes future incidents and creates an inclusive, equity-based workplace. Mr. Orozco’s achievements include motivating and leading a high-performance management team; attracting, retaining, and recruiting required personnel; and providing mentoring to the management career development program. He has served on the Society for HR Management (SHRM) local chapter board of directors up in WA State for 5 years, from 2009 - 2015.
Mr. Orozco serves as the Chief Operations Officer (COO) of Employers Choice Online Inc., which is headquartered in Southern California. Mr. Orozco leads the executive team for Employers Choice Screening, Compliance Training Group, and Diversified Risk Management. All three companies are divisions of Employers Choice Online Inc. Previously, Mr. Orozco has held several executive roles and was responsible for implementing the HRIS system and designing total compensation packages and benefits, and crafting work cultures that inspire employees to learn and grow – and do their best work.
Mr. Orozco holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (Business & American History) from the University of Puget Sound and graduate degrees (M.S. & M.A.) in both Human Resources and Organizational Leadership from Chapman University. He has earned the SHRM senior certified professional designation (SHRM-SCP), along with International Public Management Association for Human Resources (IPMA) senior certified professional designation (IPMA-SCP).
